Pool repair work set to commence at Sandringham Family Leisure Centre
Victoria’s Bayside City Council has advised that the pool at its Sandringham Family Leisure Centre will be closed between Tuesday 25th and Thursday 27th June for essential repairs to the boiler.
In a statement, the Council advised that “we have expedited replacement parts from overseas, and are working with pool operator, BlueFit, to minimise the necessary closure time for pool users.
“We are also currently conducting corrosion protection and repair works to strengthen the steel roof structure at the Centre.
“These works are being carried out behind construction hoarding and do not affect the operation of the pool.”
The Council went on to stated that other businesses and community facilities at the facility including the car park, Sandringham Sports Physio, Goodlife Health Club and basketball stadiums, will remain open while these essential works are being completed.
The Sandringham Family Leisure Centre pool was built in 1978 with its pool facility regularly maintained to ensure its continued enjoyment by the community.
