Online discussion site for the leisure industry
Designed to complement the extensive range of information services at the www.ausleisure.com website, the aim of the Forum, according to Australasian Leisure Management Publisher Nigel Benton is to "develop a sense of virtual community among regular users where industry professionals can discuss industry issues along with searching for, and sharing, information on topics that concern them."
Benton hopes that "moderation of the Forum will require only a 'soft touch' as the leisure industry always displays a high level of professionalism."
Topics/threads on the newly created Forum already include Best Access Control Software, Industry Magazines & Journals, Arabian Gulf Waterparks, Do We Need This ALFA Association?, The Crawford Report, Membership Clauses and Young Aussies not active enough.
While viewing the Forum does not require registration, a simple registration process allows registered users of the Forum to submit or send electronic messages.
Editor's note: With the launch of a new website as of 1st April 2014, the Forum has been discontinued.
Article amended 10th May 2014.
