Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre opens for business

The Sultanate of Oman’s newest international development, the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC), has opened.

Developed by the country’s leading developer, Omran and managed by AEG Ogden, the new venue will host Infra Oman 2016, the sixth edition of Oman’s international trade event for infrastructure and industrial projects, from tomorrow.

Commenting on the potential of the new venue, Trevor McCartney, General Manager of the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, stated "the construction industry is Oman’s largest sector after oil, and plays a key role in boosting economic development.

"In recent years, the government has made significant investment in infrastructure, such as airports, roads, ports, industrial estates, free zones and technology parks. This powerful combination of factors makes Infra Oman an incredibly important event for the country.”
