Official debut of THX in China launches a new era of movie-viewing

A new partnership between THX Ltd. and the China Film Group is set to introduce THX to Chinese moviegoers.

Leveraging its expertise in filmmaking and technology, THX’s cinema certification programs ensure a truthful delivery of filmmakers’ visions to the audience. With critical architectural design, state-of-the-art visuals and incredibly powerful audio, THX certified cinemas the pinnacle of the Hollywood entertainment experience.

The first THX Certified China Giant Screen (CGS) auditoriums will open in Shanghai in September.

THX was created in 1983 by legendary director George Lucas and a team of Lucas film engineers.
