O’Brien Group secures Suncorp Stadium catering management rights

The O’Brien Group has secured Suncorp Stadium's catering rights following a Stadiums Queensland tender process.

Stadiums Queensland went to market earlier this year seeking tenders from suitably qualified companies to provide catering services at the landmark venue. 

Stadiums Queensland Chairperson, Sophie Devitt, said while there were several very creditable and well credentialed proposals received, the O’Brien Group bid best met all key criteria.  

Devitt stated “Stadiums Queensland was seeking a proponent with proven expertise in hospitality management within a stadium environment and experience in partnering with venue managers to deliver major events.  

“O’Brien Group has proven experience across a range of venues and sports around Australia. They are innovators within their sector and industry leaders in their corporate hospitality offerings.  

“This decision provides certainty for our hirers, tenants and stakeholders moving forward.” 

O’Brien Group, Director, Michael O’Brien, said the company is honoured to be awarded the hospitality management contract for the leading venue.  

Suncorp Stadium General Manager Alan Graham added that the staff team at the venue is "excited" about working with all of our hirers and the O’Brien Group to develop a range of hospitality products that will enhance the total event experience for fans. 

The O’Brien Group's first event at Suncorp Stadium will be the Brisbane Roar v Melbourne City A League match on 27th December 2015.
