PMSI Acquired by Kaba Group

Access control specialists the PMSI Group has been acquired by security and access specialists Kaba Australia Pty Ltd.

Kaba Australia, a member of the Swiss-based Kaba Group, is acknowledged as a technology leader in the worldwide security.

In business for more than 145 years, the Kaba Group employs around 8,000 employees in more than 60 countries. It has grown from the manufacture of locks to providing comprehensive access control solutions for buildings, facilities and other sites, as well as solutions for collecting personal and enterprise data.

The PMSI Group will now become Kaba Australia's new Physical Access Systems business unit with former owner Jim Wilson continuing to support the new business unit as a consultant. Existing PMSI personnel will also continue the business at the former premises of the PMSI Group.

The new business will now offer a complete range of physical access systems, as well as existing partner products while the global support given by the Kaba Group will ensure that the new Physical Access Systems business unit is in a position to offer a range of access and security solutions for facilities throughout Australia and New Zealand.
