Northern Territory tourism vouchers offered to fully vaccinated only
The next round of Northern Territory Tourism vouchers scheduled to be released to locals on the waitlist from next week stipulates they are only available to Territorians who are fully vaccinated.
Territory Tourism vouchers are valued at $200 and can be used on multiple experiences in the Top End, Red Centre, Katherine and Barkly regions.
Waitlisted Territorians will begin to be contacted this week to seek confirmation that they are fully vaccinated. They will be required to upload their COVID-19 Australian Government vaccination information to receive their voucher.
Priority will be given to those based on the initial registration timing.
Eligible Territorians who receive a voucher are required to book within 14 days and complete their booking by 31st January.
Like previous rounds, incentives remain for those who travel more than 400km as part of a single journey for their booking with a $200 bonus claim redeemable.
Northern Territory Minister for Tourism and Hospitality Natasha Fyles explained “this update to the Territory Tourism Voucher program is about protecting vulnerable Territorians and keeping our community as safe as possible while continuing to support our tourism industry.
“The requirement to be fully vaccinated will further safeguard vulnerable Territorians throughout our regions and communities.
“This round of Territory Tourism Vouchers has already contributed to more than $4.4 million in gross sales.
“As of 5th November, 14,642 vouchers have been released and 10,125 have been redeemed.”
