Central Coast's Niagara Park Stadium offers new accessible sports program

Central Coast Council has partnered with the NSW Office of Sport and Sport Central Coast and local sport and active recreation providers to deliver a low-cost multi-sport program for people with a disability at Niagara Park Stadium.

The program focuses on fun and participation in a non-competitive social environment, providing participants with an opportunity to try sports programs currently available.

Six different sports are offered over six weeks with participants able to choose from tennis/pickleball, futsal, basketball, cricket (hosted by One Culture Support Services), wheelchair AFL and wheelchair basketball (hosted by Wheelchair Sports NSW) or they can try all options to see what sport they enjoy most.

Activities will be modified and delivered by experienced instructors.

Sessions begin from 16th May – 6th June 2022 and cost just $5 to participate, including afternoon tea.

Niagara Park Stadium is owned and managed by Central Coast Council and offers an extensive range of indoor sports and disciplines from archery, martial arts, or dance lessons to first aid and Tai Chi.

Niagara Park Stadium, with its spacious sports hall and 700-seat grandstand, hosts sporting competitions and events: basketball, soccer, martial arts, roller derby, netball, volleyball, table tennis, trampolining, and dance classes, and many more.
