New Zealand Fitness Awards set for live judging event

In a move reminiscent of the X-Factor, the final judging round of the 2014 New Zealand Fitness Industry Awards will be assessed through the event’s first ever live assessment.

Set to take place on Friday 21st November at AUT University on Auckland’s North Shore, the judging will decided who is the country’s top Personal Trainer, Up and Coming Personal Trainer, Gym Instructor, Small Group Instructor and Up and Coming Student of the year .

From a record-breaking number of entrants, five finalists in each of the above categories will complete and be judged in front of a live international judging panel.

The winners of each category will be announced at the Fitness Industry Awards Dinner and Ceremony on the evening of Saturday 22nd November.

Feedback from the judging panel has said that they calibre of entrants has made this year a very competitive year. The 2014 finalists represent the truly excellent contributions to health and fitness within the industry.

The 2014 Awards have 14 categories, looking at both individuals and facilities that operate in the fitness/exercise industry, as well as special awards for those outside the industry showing a commitment to health and wellness through exercise.

With the exception of three awards, all awards are based on an application process that is reviewed by a judging panel, with finalists announced in October and the winners to be announced at the awards ceremony, which features as part of the annual FitEx Convention.
