New YogaFit program approved by Yoga Alliance Australia

Following the recent approval of the YogaFit® 200 hour program by Yoga Alliance Australia, instructors who obtain this qualification are now automatically eligible to join the Alliance’s worldwide register of professionals  - a benefit which will see their accreditation automatically recognised both nationally and overseas.

Yoga Alliance Australia, part of the global Yoga Alliance, is registered with and accredited for the delivery of teacher training programs and continuing education programs, by the International Yoga Federation (the largest yoga body in the world), and the Complementary Medical Association in the UK (the world’s authority in complementary medicine).

The global Yoga Alliances ruled in 2000 that a 200-hour comprehensive program is adequate enough to provide teachers with the basic teaching tools that most studios and health clubs will require anywhere in the world to employ them.

Here in Australia, the YogaFit® 200 hour qualification is delivered by the Australian Fitness Network and is one of the highest possible YogaFit® accreditations available, requiring participants to successfully complete 11 mandatory program components.

YogaFit® is the largest yoga fitness education school in the world, with more than 200,000 instructors trained on six continents. YogaFit® is specifically designed for delivery in fitness facilities and overcomes the mystery of yoga by delivering a practical, user-friendly style, which is accessible, understandable, and suitable for individuals at any level of fitness.

YogaFit® is designed to improve the health, performance, and mental acuteness of athletes or individuals who practice regularly. Based on the traditional fitness science of Hatha yoga, YogaFit® blends balance, strength, flexibility and power into a tried and tested fitness format.
