Bangkok Convention to set new benchmark for the Asian fitness industry
Details have been announced of the Asia Fitness Convention scheduled to take place from 27th to 29th November 2009 at the CentaraGrand & Bangkok Convention Centre, Thailand.
Organised by Fitness Innovations Thailand, the three-day conference is the first in Southeast Asia to bring together such a wide and comprehensive selection of international fitness and conditioning expertise and equipment under one roof at one time. Modelled after the IDEA World Fitness Conventions, this event is set to bring Asia's fitness industry to the next level. The convention is organised into five streams, the five elements of Chi energy, bringing the optimal balance of positive energy to fitness and health professionals and enthusiasts alike.
The conference will host more than 80 workshops and seminar sessions to suit all interests and needs. Practitioners of yoga and Pilates will enjoy sessions with YogaSynergy, YogaFit, Fletcher, STOTT and Polestar Pilates. Group exercise aficionados will thrill at innovative group exercise ideas such as Fame! Strip Bar, Masala Bhangra and Disco Yoga from Crunch, New York, Zumba workouts - the world's most exhilarating aerobic dance innovation - with Tanya Beardsley, Zumba's world class choreographer and presenter. Plus a work out in person with Rachel and Dan Cohen, two of Les Mills' Body Combat program directors. On hand too will be the creators of some of the most effective and challenging strength and conditioning techniques such as the TRX suspension training, Kettlebell extreme fitness training, the Twist SMART gym and BOSU balance training.
The Exhibition, open to the public on 28th and 29th November, will showcase educational resources, sport, fitness and yoga equipment and apparel, nutrition and dietary supplements. Continuous on-stage activities include Muay Thai, bodybuilding, yoga, plyometrics, group exercise and dance demonstrations. Even foot and head massage services are available for delegates and exhibition visitors.
In addition, Friday and Saturday evening will be open to the public with a regional 'Madonna Celebration Aerobic Dance Competition' as well as a Fitness Challenge between member/instructor teams from rivaling Clubs. The aerobic Dance competition, a tribute to Madonna's two decades of achievement in music and fitness and a perfect launch for her Celebration album, will attract dancers from all over Asia. Teams will be judged by leading experts in the fields of group exercise and personal fitness training and the winners will take home some attractive prizes.
