Yoga Australia to hold 2014 annual conference in Melbourne

The fourth annual Yoga Australia Teachers' Conference will be held at Melbourne's Pullman Albert Park from 12th to 14th April 2014.

Bringing together yoga teachers from all different styles and traditions, the conference theme 'Joy in Yoga' has been set to celebrate the industry's uniqueness while acknowledging the essential message of oneness and unity that is yoga.

Leading Keynote speakers, master-classes, teaching specialisation, and workshops on philosophy, practices, teaching skills and the latest science will form the foundation of the two day conference. In addition, this Conference represents a unique and priceless opportunity to celebrate sanga in the Australian yoga community, and provide a professional development opportunity to yoga teachers.

The conference is the property of Yoga Australia (Inc), the peak professional body for yoga in Australia. It is a not-for-profit association of members dedicated to the tradition of yoga.

Yoga Australia comprises members from over 30 styles and traditions of yoga and has a membership of approximately 2,000 teachers and registers some 55 teacher training programs from schools across Australia. Each year, the association conducts a national conference aimed at providing quality professional development for members, bringing members together in the spirit of community and providing opportunities for members to become aware of new products or services related to their profession.
