Kryal Castle to reopen on 2nd March
Kryal Castle has announced that it will reopen the doors to its new land of medieval adventure on 2nd March, followed by a week of celebrations including VIP and celebrity events the finale being a long weekend of celebrations to mark the occasion.
Raising the curtains for the opening festivities will be a ceremonial launch on the Castle Arena, the first official joust at the new Castle between the heroic Knights, a range of magical and entertaining performances daily and the unveiling of the special effects walk through entry attraction The Dragon's Labyrinth.
The multi-million dollar redevelopment of this iconic piece of regional tourism infrastructure, has taken over 12 months to complete.
Castle Director, Erin Joyce explains "tThe transformation of the facades alone, using sculpted concrete to create the fantasy based Castle 'village', really have to be seen to be believed you have to touch it to convince yourself it's not made from artistically crafted wood. We cannot wait to re-open the doors and watch people come over the drawbridge and be amazed at what they see."
The Adventure Park and Resort will cater to all ages from children discovering the myths, legends and fairytales of the new Castle to teenagers being entertained and thrilled in the Torture Museum and special effects Dungeon and parents enjoying the dramatic Castle Arena shows, or a quiet drink at the Ale House.
In total, the new Kryal Castle will provide more than 15 new entertaining attractions and experiences, including:

Detailing the opening events, Joyce adds "the weekend of 2nd and 3rd March will be focused on the locals with special membership offers and giveaways before grand opening festivities on the Labour Day long weekend.
"Visitors are set to feel they have entered a special place, leaving behind the every day and being part of an adventure only possible at Kryal Castle. Everyone will be enchanted by the story of the Land of Kryal, with its magical Oggles, and the She-Dragon Ushnagh, heroic Knights and the Arthurian legend of the Castle."
Kryal Castle will also roll out AUSVELS mapped Education Discovery Programs, developed by industry expert Jenny Gardner from Creative Hat Interpretation.
Gardner explains "these are medieval inspired programs interactive and educational that are well researched, creative and a load of fun! We place particular emphasis on medieval history, customs, battle strategies, weapons and wizardry."
The programs will be ready from Term 1.
The 17 luxury on-site Castle Suites have been completely refurbished and have been beautifully appointed with hand woven French and Belgium tapestries. Capturing the glory and mystery of times past, the Castle Suites are open seven days from 1st February 2013.
