Cartoon Network waterpark set to open in Thailand

Thailand's first internationally branded waterpark, Cartoon Network Amazone, is set to open on 31st July.

The soft launch of the much anticipated attraction will reveal six of the waterpark’s 10 entertainment zones, each based on different Cartoon Network characters.

The waterpark features high-speed water slides, wave pools and Adventure River as well as Asia’s largest aqua playground, Cartoonival, with over 150 interactive elements specially designed for children, such as curly slides, fountains, tubes, and two 1,000-ltr giant tipping-buckets.

Located on Thailand’s east coast in Bang Saray, the waterpark is 20 minutes from Pattaya City and a two-hour drive from Bangkok.

For young fans of the popular ‘Ben 10’ alien cartoon the attraction also features the Humungousaur water coaster, known as the Humungaslide,  that takes thrill seekers through circular slides, twists and turns before dropping them 8 metres for a heart-racing finish.

Come nightfall, the park also puts on high-octane shows with dancers and acrobats, as well as water and light projections.
