New Ready Steady Go Kids franchisee puts the fun back in activity
Ready Steady Go Kids’ latest franchisee, Shepparton local Karen Groves, has always been an advocate of children’s fitness and her two sons, Tyler (aged 18) and Dillon (aged 22), are huge fitness fanatics too.
As children, the pair were encouraged to play outside and be active, which is where their love of physical activity all began.
However, with children across Australia now less active, Karen Groves and her boys are eager to get youngsters moving again.
Karen Groves explains “children aren’t playing outside like they used to be, and as a result their gross and fine motor skills are suffering. I want to encourage kids to learn these skills while having fun and being active, and Ready Steady Go Kids is the perfect way to do this.”
After working at the Ready Steady Go Kids head office for almost a year, Karen Groves was keen to purchase a franchise of her own and she was given the opportunity to introduce the program in her hometown of Shepparton.
It became one of the most fulfilling decisions she has ever made.
She explains “having worked at head office, I’ve seen the amazing support offered to the franchise owners by the company. That’s one of the many reasons I was so excited to purchase a franchise of my own.”
Ready Steady Go Kids is a unique children’s fitness program that helps promote a lifelong passion for sports and exercise while building key social skills such as sportsmanship and teamwork. Physio-designed for children aged from two-and-a-half to six years old, each class introduces children to the fundamentals of ten different sports and allows them to develop age-appropriate skills.
With Tyler and Dillon on board as instructors, Karen is confident her family can help put Ready Steady Go Kids on the map in Shepparton and get kids excited about fitness again.
Ready Steady Go Kids Director, Danie O’Connor comments “it’s great to have Karen and the boys on board.
“They understand just how valuable the program is to the community, and they have a passion for the job like no other. We can’t wait to see the franchise grow in Shepparton and beyond.”
Classes will commence in Term 1 2016 at Shepparton, Bendigo and Castlemaine.
Shepparton classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 9:30am, 10:15am and 11am, and on Saturdays at 9am, 9:45am and 10:30am. Bendigo classes will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:30am, 10:15am and 11am. Castlemaine classes will be held on Fridays at 1pm (for 2.5-4 year olds) and 1:45pm (for 4-6 year olds).
