New range of outdoor fitness equipment for seniors
Outdoor gym pioneer a_space has expanded its Fit for Parks outdoor gym equipment range, incorporating items specifically addressed to the needs of seniors.
These new items concentrate on improving dexterity, flexibility and strength. These are essential to maintain quality of life for older adults.
The new items include:
The Dexterity Builder provides the opportunity for users to maintain or improve their co-ordination and dexterity by gripping the handles (one with each hand) and guiding the handles through the spiral-shaped track in a co-ordinated effort.
The Step Up Station is suitable for both seniors and younger people. For seniors, the step up aids in every day activities such as stepping onto a bus or walking up a staircase.
The Shoulder Mobility Station provides the opportunity for users to maintain/improve their range of shoulder movement and strength by gripping the handle and guiding it through the track in a circular motion. The range of movement can be increased by the user bending their knees to increase reach.
With more than 250 Fit for Parks outdoor gyms available to the public throughout Australia, a growing number of communities are enjoying the benefits of fitter, healthier residents.
