Fit-for-Parks introduces a new generation of outdoor fitness equipment

Offering a total outdoor activity solution, Fit-for-Parks' new range of outdoor gym equipment features a range of items of equipment to promote improved cardio fitness, strength and flexibility in outdoor and park settings.

Available from Melbourne-based A-Play, the durable and safe Fit-for-Parks product range offers a selection of different equipment configurations designed to deliver a clear flow of exercise activities grouped into different zones.

Recent Fit-for-Parks installations have been completed in Wollongong, where equipment was produced with 'Marine Grade' specification to ensure it stands up in corrosive salt-laden coastal air; at Grand Flaneur Beach in Liverpool and in Penrith's Glenmore Park.

The opening in Penrith was a major local event attended by Federal MP David Bradbury and Penrith Mayor Greg Davies.

The park features a number of stations spread along a path around Glenmore Park Lake, with a main station featuring a range of items of equipment to promote improved cardio fitness, strength and flexibility.

While only new, local residents are already flocking to the park to use the equipment to improve their fitness.

Speaking at the launch, Mayor Davies explained "there (is) a range of equipment for adults and children of all levels of fitness and ability.

"Its ideal, whether you want to start a healthy and active lifestyle, maintain and improve your existing fitness or are seeking an alternative to exercising indoors.

"The equipment enables workouts to help you improve flexibility, endurance and strength.

"There (are) stretch stations for body twists and aerobics, exercise bikes, ... elliptical trainer, chest press and pulldowns, pull ups, leg raises and body dip and push ups, leg press and sit ups."

All Fit-for-Parks equipment is labelled with easy-to-read 'how to use' signage while the Fit-for-Parks website extends the value of the equipment by providing detailed instructions, video content, fitness programs and other information.
