New QBE campaign leverages talent of AFL's Swans and netball's NSW Swifts

QBE Insurance has launched a new promotion to leverage its long-term sponsorship of the AFL’s Sydney Swans and the NSW Swifts Super Netball outfit.

An extension of the company’s 2021 campaign dubbed 'easy as’, it builds on the ‘they make it look easy’ narrative by featuring players from the teams effortlessly kicking the football or shooting a goal while doing everyday tasks.

It was developed by Sydney-based, The Core Agency, and includes AFL, AFLW and Super Netball players Buddy Franklin, Isaac Heeney, Ruby Sergent-Wilson, Paige Hadley, Sam Wallace and Maddy Turner.

QBE Australia Pacific head of marketing, David Hirsch advised “it’s fantastic to be able to integrate QBE’s brand with legends like Buddy and Paige.

"This latest campaign leverages their popularity while bringing home the message that QBE is easy to deal with when purchasing personal insurance.”

“QBE’s partnerships with the Sydney Swans and NSW Swifts go back a long way and this new campaign works seamlessly to highlight the skills we share.”

Hirsh added that it was especially pleasing to showcase the Sydney Swans’ first AFLW signing, Ruby Sergent-Wilson in the campaign.

QBE recently expanded its sponsorship of the Swans to include its inaugural AFLW squad of which it will be principal partner.

The content will be featured in the stadiums, social media and streaming services to target Sydney Swans and NSW Swifts fans.
