Netball Australia Board elects new Chair
The Netball Australia Board has formally elected Anne-Marie Corboy as the new Chair of Netball Australia.
Corboy replaces Noeleen Dix, who stepped down at Netball Australia’s last Annual General Meeting after serving as President and Chair for the past decade.
Corboy is currently a Director of Utilities of Australia, mecu Limited, the Mother’s Day Classic Foundation and the Trans-Tasman Netball League (TTNL). She is also Vice-President of the Asian Netball Region.
Appointed as a Director in February 2014, Corboy is honoured to take on the position as Chair and to build on the progress achieved by the organisation in recent years.
She explained "following on from the outstanding work of Noeleen Dix will be a challenge but I am enthusiastic about keeping netball as on the number one women’s sport in the country.
“It is an exciting time for women’s sport and I will be putting all my energy to ensuring that netball grows and prospers from the fantastic competition and development that occurs in communities all across Australia, to our State and Territory and National leagues, the ANZ Championship right up to the very successful Australian Diamonds.”
