2019 Regional Events Conference to see industry professionals gather in Dubbo
Event professionals, stakeholders and students from across Australia will meet in Dubbo this September to share ideas and insights at the 2019 Regional Events Conference - an industry-specific event tailored for specialists in the tourism and events sector.
Now in its fourth year, the conference keynote presenter is Patrick J Kidd , who led the planning and delivery of the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 with more than 140 full-time staff and 1,000 volunteers.
Also in the program are a range of case studies including Birdsville’s Big Red Bash and the Royal Visit by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, alongside hot-button topics like building sustainable practices into events.
Conference organiser, Belinda King of King Events, says the 2019 conference continues to highlight the significance of the event across the industry, stating “year after year, we continue to see a real need for professional development opportunities with a regional focus in the events sector.
“We’re proud to gather a diverse range of experts each year and provide an accessible option for regionally-based event professionals.”
Early bird registrations are now open for this year’s event which will run from the 4th to 6th September.
