The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) has been recognised for its service and innovation, taking home four awards at the recent Victorian Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) Awards.

Staged at the Arts Centre Melbourne, MCEC won in the following categories:

Business Development Person of the Year' Prue Rogers, Assistant Director of Sales.

The venue's performance was assessed across a wide range of criteria, including business and financial planning, marketing activities, sustainability and innovation.

MCEC's Chief Executive Peter King said the four accolades were a reflection of MCEC's contribution to the business events industry and their commitment to offering the best customer experience.

King explained "these awards are a great recognition for our team who are the driving force behind the quality of events we creatively deliver to our customers.

"We are a world class venue and dedicated to finding new ways of working with our customers and the broader community."

As winners MCEC will now represent Victoria in all four categories at the 2012 MEA National Awards in Darwin on 7th May 2013.
