Middle East Sport Industry Awards continue to recognise excellence in fitness and sport
The recently presented Middle East Sport Industry Awards (SPIA) have honoured professionals and organisations who work behind the scenes in fitness, recreation and sport as well as those who bring world-class events and services to the Middle East/Arabian Gulf region.
With almost 200 submissions, winners were awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in each of 11 different categories: Best Health & Fitness Facility, Best Sport Brand, Best Sport CSR Initiative, Best Sport Event (Amateur), Best Sport Event (Professional), Best Sport Marketing Campaign, Best Sport Retail Outlet, Best Sport Sponsorship of a Sport/Sports Event, Best Sport Youth Development Project, Best use of Social Media in Sport and Best Sport Agency/Organisation.
Among the award winners, Dubai’s Smart Fitness (pictured above) was named Best Health & Fitness Facility, adidas was judged the Best Sport Brand in the region and Etihad Airways’ Junior Rugby Tournament was named Best Amateur Sport Event.
The award for Best Youth Sport Development Program was shared by Mubadala Tennis Community Program (Mubadala & Fast Track Middle East) and Emirates American Football Youth League (EAFL Events).
