Maytronics announces new executive appointments

Leading aquatic sector supplier Maytronics has announced the appointment of three new staff members - including two new State Managers - to support its continued growth and expansion.

Christian Tyra has filled the position of NSW State Manager, joining the company having spent the past 14 years at DHL Supply Chain  - with 10 years in warehouse/logistics operations and having spent the past four years as a Key Account Manager in the very demanding healthcare sector.

Commenting on his role, Tyra stated “I am very excited about the transition into the pool industry with Maytronics and I see an amazing opportunity for organisational growth and challenge of learning a new industry, new products and building strong client relationships.”

Maytronics has also welcomed Pete Whalley as the State Manager for Victorian and South Australia.

With a long history in franchising, Whalley’s career has included roles have in operations, support, compliance, sales training and most recently with Poolwerx assisting franchise partners in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.

Commenting on joining the Brisbane-based business, Whalley notes “I was fortunate enough to experience what a fantastic range of products and team Maytronics is during my two and a half years with Poolwerx.

“Add to this, market leading robotic cleaners dominating the market segment and some exciting releases into the future, the move to join Maytronics was a decision made easy.”

The company has also appointed of David Dean as Marketing Manager.

Joining the team with a wealth of knowledge across manufacturing and distribution networks, Dean joins Maytronics from the UK and will be responsible for the marketing across Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and South East Asia markets.

Dean stated “I’m excited to be joining a growth orientated market leader who is leading the way to change attitudes across the pool sector.

“We have some exciting projects for our flagship Dolphin product range in 2020 and look forward to working with our trade partners, dealer network and of course end customers.”
