Australian commercial dealers tour Maytronics Headquarters in Israel

A group of selected Maytronics Commercial Wave Master Dealers from around Australia have just returned from a training tour to the Maytronics Headquarters in Israel.

The eight dealers accompanied Maytronics National Commercial Manager Stuart Crane to the Maytronics Headquarters to see the inner operations of the company.

The touring party consisted of representatives from Solarwise Dolphin Tech, NSW; Aquatic Elements, Queensland, Poolquip, Tasmania; International Quadratics, NSW; PV Technologies, South Australia and Orimatech, NSW.

Based on a Kibbutz, the visit also enabled the dealers to experience the unique lifestyle of the collective community, viewing the entire kibbutz and farm as well as the Maytronics factory. And the visitors were impressed: viewing the Maytronics electronics department through to the production line as well as being able to assess the hundreds of test pools around the site. The group was also able to meet with key Maytronics personnel to discuss product updates, operations and service troubleshooting while also discussing upgrades and new product development with the company’s engineering research and development.

With the business part of the trip out of the way, the group also explored the country, visiting the historic sites of Nazereth, before heading for a new experience for all – a night camping in a Bedouin Village in Kfar Hanokdim.

Commenting on this part of the trip, Stuart Crane stated “an early start - 4am - saw the group heading for a short trek to the top of the Massada Ruins for an unforgettable sunrise.

“After an informative tour of the ruins, it was off to breakfast and then more exploring, with a 4WD Jeep trek in the Dead Sea salt plains and dessert before having a mud pack treatment and a dip in the Dead Sea.

“After lunch we headed for a walk up to the top of the waterfalls in Ein Gedi National Park and a had quick dip in fresh water and thermal pools and a shower under the waterfalls before heading to Jerusalem.

“Further travelling over the next two days saw us tour both the old and new cities of Jerusalem before heading to Tel Aviv to watch the sunset over the Mediterranean and indulge in some much needed ‘R&R’ before the long trip home.

“This was aAn enjoyable and memorable trip with the touring party helping make it a great experience.”

Dealer comments on the tour include:

Eddie Lloyd, Marketing Manager, International Quadratics - “Personally, I received a lot from the discussions and was able to get to get a valuable insight into the business culture and standards of Maytornics. Extremely impressive people, manufacturing plant and place of work.”

Brad Chick, Owner, Poolquip - “The trip was awesome mate, honestly one of the best weeks of my life, to put a face behind the company was great, as well as understanding the entire set-up with Maytronics being a community owned business – kibbutz - and seeing their values gave me great faith in Maytronics.

“Also talking to the technical support team about the problems with cleaner and learning the way they test their units and work though any faults rest assures that we are dealing with a great company that will not only acknowledge problems but sit down and come up with a resolution and fix it.”

Mike Smith, Owner, PV Technologies - “The invitation to visit the Maytronics factory in Israel was a very inspiring and motivating experience to see how a company prides itself in their R&D, manufacturing down to shipment, very much how we like to think we treat our customers with sales and service and especially back-up in SA, for Maytronics to discuss with the Maytronics Commercial Master Dealers from Australia on improvements and ideas and then to act on those ideas with their Technical, R&D and Manufacturing people was a sign of a great company.

“The sightseeing around Israel arranged by Maytronics was outstanding especially with their tour guide Moish, thank you to all involved on our trip.”
