Management change at Genesis Fitness Clubs

Following the departure of David Lowe, Belgravia Health and Leisure is undertaking the recruitment of a new Chief Executive for its Genesis Fitness Clubs division.

Lowe, who is currently undertaking a number of special projects for the Belgravia group, is establishing a new consultancy, DF & B Consulting, that will offer services to the fitness, recreation, swim school and wellness industries.

Lowe is also completing PhD research at Melbourne's Deakin University - his doctoral study including ground breaking research on the factors that attract membership and retention in the Australian fitness industry.

While Belgravia Health and Leisure recruit Lowe's successor, a process being undertaken by Waite InterSearch, former Fitness First Australia executive David Allan has been appointed acting Chief Executive of Genesis Fitness Clubs.

Allan, who had been acting as a consultant for Genesis in recent months, is also a Director of Fitness Australia.
