Malaysia’s Sunway Lagoon reimagines its Wild Wild West night park

Malaysia’s Sunway Lagoon has unveiled Captain Quack Land – a reimagining of its Wild Wild West night park.

This nautical wonderland located in Kuala Lumpur, inspired by Sunway Lagoon’s popular mascots Captain Quack, Lady Quack, and their twins Gogo and Bebe, is an enchanting escape for families.

From its sparkling lights and lively atmosphere to thrilling new attractions, Captain Quack Land promises a magical experience for visitors of all ages.

Sunway Theme Park’s executive director, Calvin Ho advised “Sunway Lagoon has been around for over 30 years, and we’ve had the privilege of seeing generations grow up visiting the park.

“Today, those same visitors are bringing their children and even grandchildren. This rebranding ensures we stay relevant and continue to offer something special for these families.

“We realised there was a lack of spaces designed specifically for children to play, explore, and feel truly happy.”

The newly revamped night park is brimming with attractions, including Captain’s Theater, where live shows entertain the crowd, and Lady’s Avenue, home to 100 quirky Captain Quack statues for visitors to explore.

A towering rock-climbing wall are on offer along with capsule vending machines and the soon-to-debut water coaster ride.

Classic favourites like Pirates Revenge, Cannonball, and the nostalgic Grand River Rapids ensure that long-time visitors can relive their fondest memories while introducing the park’s magic to a new generation.

Ho adds “Beyond the rides, we’ve added vibrant colours, enchanting lights, and specially composed music to create a fairytale-like atmosphere.

“After spending a few hours here, you’ll feel like you’ve entered another world.”

Captain Quack Land has opened just in time for the Yuletide season, transforming Sunway Lagoon into a festive wonderland.

Up until 31st December, Sunway Lagoon will sparkle with holiday magic featuring dazzling performances, and a host of fun activities. Visitors can also immerse themselves in a magical snowy wonderland at the Igloo, where snowfall fills the air daily during the festive season, from 7.30pm to 7.50pm and again from 8.20pm to 8.50pm.
