Make Summer Unstoppable sees venues play a part in keeping New Zealanders safe

With every event and venue in New Zealand seen as having a part to play in keeping New Zealand’s population safe through summer, Dr Ashley Bloomfield’s pre-Christmas COVID-19 announcement has reinforced public health messages - wash your hands, scan QR codes, turn Bluetooth - seen as key to reducing risks during the pandemic.

Dr Bloomfield, New Zealand’s Director-General of Health and the public face of the country's battle against Coronavirus, teamed up with an Auckland DJ and producer Macsen on a COVID-19 health announcement, running through a checklist to “make summer unstoppable”.

Dr Bloomfield's video is backed by digital collateral and support with events and businesses able to order a range of free, printed collateral including posters, floor decals and stickers as well as a COVID-19 Tracer booklet.

The video proved popular when it was played at Gisborne’s Rhythm and Vines festival over the Christmas period.

As advised by the Entertainment Venues Association of New Zealand (EVANZ), operators can maximise the impact of the advertising campaign.
