Luna Park Venues installs new audio-visual AV technology

Luna Park’s audio-visual systems have received a full upgrade across a number of its key venue spaces, including the Crystal Ballroom, the Ted Hopkins Room and the Sunset Room, with leading audio-visual and event technology specialists, Microhire, investing over $100,000 in the partnership.

Three large state-of-the-art projection screens have been installed in the Crystal Ballroom, along with a fully digital high definition signal distribution system that ensures crisp, sharp images are distributed throughout the entire space. The three Panasonic DZ870EK Projectors of 8500 lumens brightness are connected using the latest in HDBaseT distribution and can be retracted completely into the roof lines, ensuring the spectacular views of Sydney Harbour are not obstructed.

The triple projection in the Crystal Ballroom offers Luna Park’s clients the opportunity to work with a number of different room orientations and stage positions, complementing the existing audio system and customised moving lighting system installed in the venue.

The Ted Hopkins Room received a vision upgrade, with Microhire installing two Panasonic VZ575NA Projectors, a full HD LCD small format unit, producing 4800 lumens at 1920 x 1200 resolutions. The dual screens offer clients the flexibility of two orientations within the venue space – one end of the room catering for bigger groups that require two screens and a central stage floor plan, and the other, more budget-friendly single projection option.

The Sunset Room has also been upgraded to now house a single projection orientation, similar to the Ted Hopkins Room, with the same Panasonic 4800 lumen projector and screen.

Luna Park Venues’ General Manager Sales, James Granter, is thrilled to announce the upgrades and is excited for new and existing clients to be able to utilise this new technology to ensure their events deliver guests a cutting edge visual and audio experience.

Granter states “we’re thrilled to announce these AV upgrades to three of our iconic venue spaces. Our events team tailor each of our events individually, so this investment will help us continue to deliver our award-winning customer service to a range of business, trade and consumer events.

“The new upgrades mean that we now offer our customers quick turn around between events, less time setting up and more floor plan flexibility, while still offering them the majestic views of Sydney Harbour that we are famous for.”
