Legoland Malaysia looks to drive tourism growth through collaboration

With the nation’s tourism industry rebounding, Legoland Malaysia Resort is aiming to drive tourism growth through collaboration coupled with immersive cultural experiences, new attractions and edutainment.

Advising that the resort serves as a catalyst for tourism growth in Johor and beyond, Legoland Malaysia Divisional Director, CS Lim told The Malaysian Reserve “our focus on unique cultural experiences and family-friendly entertainment aligns perfectly with The Tourism, Arts, and Culture Ministry’s (MOTAC) vision, making us a magnet for international and domestic travellers.”

Explaining that Legoland Malaysia is also actively collaborating with MOTAC to promote Malaysia as a premier family tourism destination, Lim explained “this collaboration includes joint marketing initiatives, participation in travel trade shows and the development of culturally-themed events.”

Meanwhile, Legoland Malaysia Resort Sales and Marketing Director Thila Munusamy added that through cultural immersion, they offer vibrant celebrations like Lunar New Year and Hari Raya, authentically created with Lego bricks, attracting visitors with specific cultural interests.

Munusamy noted “the park keeps things exciting with new and exciting offerings, such as the master model builder search, brick fest featuring creative stories and building experiences, and the highly anticipated Lego Friends 4D movie.

“These initiatives not only create fresh appeal but also encourage repeat visits,” she said in her speech.

Munusamy went on to explain that a crucial aspect of their strategy is providing exceptional value through the Legoland Malaysia annual pass.

She went on to say “this pass offers unbeatable value, including unlimited access, exclusive events, and discounts.

“It aims to entice families, ultimately boosting local tourism spending.

“Legoland Malaysia not only builds memories with bricks but also commits to enriching families and driving economic growth.”
