KX Pilates expands with Sydney studio opening
With 12 studios operating in Victoria, KX Pilates has opened its first facility in NSW.
Offering a fast paced, high intensity body toning workout, since launching in 2010, KX Pilates' high performance Pilates training has expanded from a single studio in Melbourne, now operating a mix company owned and franchised studios.
Now, at its flagship Sydney studio in Surry Hills, KX Pilates founder Aaron Smith is expecting to enjoy similar success with what is Australia’s first high performance Pilates product.
Smith attributes the success of the KX model to his passion for what he does and satisfaction in helping his clients.
He explains "when I first introduced this new style to Australia I saw first hand how amazed clients were with the workout.
"When seeing happy faces leaving the studios and then coming back in the next day, I knew I had something that would be big.
"I never had to sell anything, I was just being myself."
Trained in London by Australian-born celebrity trainer, David Higgins, Smith worked at the exclusive Beautcamp Pilates studio in London's West End for two years.
With a degree in Exercise Physiology, prior to his Pilates career Smith was a prominent personal trainer in Melbourne specialising in strength and conditioning.
In developing KX Pilates, he highlights the program’s difference as a high intensity program for both men and women that combines circuit, resistance and endurance training, performed on a customised reformer machine.
Smith’s KX Group recently won ‘Service Business of the Year’ at the 2014 Australian Start-up Awards, with Smith also being a finalist in the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ category at the same awards.
Smith concludes “the KX Pilates workout speaks for itself.
“The buzzing studio atmosphere and exceptional service that KX offers will allow clients to feel the KX difference and personal touch that we are renowned for.
“We look forward to the difference we can make in Sydney, helping people get fit and healthy in a fun environment.
