KX Pilates franchises its high performance Pilates training

Since launching in 2010, KX Pilates has been the only company in the Australian fitness market to offer High Performance Pilates training.

Developed by fitness entrepreneur Aaron Smith, KX Pilates has expanded from a single studio in Melbourne, to five studios in the Victorian capital an additional company studio.

Now Smith has developed a franchise model for the business with five franchised studios set to open in the next six months, and with plans for expansion to other Australian states in 2014.

Smith attributes the success of the KX model to his passion for what he does and satisfaction in helping his clients.

He explains "when I first introduced this new style to Australia I saw first hand how amazed clients were with the workout.

"When seeing happy faces leaving the studios and then coming back in the next day, I knew I had something that would be big.

"I never had to sell anything, I was just being myself."

Trained in London by Australian-born celebrity trainer, David Higgins, Smith worked at the exclusive Beautcamp Pilates studio in London's West End for two years.

With a degree in Exercise Physiology, prior to his Pilates career Smith was a prominent personal trainer in Melbourne specialising in strength and conditioning.

He also worked at the prestigious Allegria Spa & Gym in the Park Hyatt Hotel in Beaver Creek, Colorado.

Now, as the head trainer and of KX Pilates, he highlights the KX difference as a high intensity program for both men and women that combines circuit, resistance and endurance training, performed on a customised reformer machine.

Smith explains "the benefits I have experienced from KX is overall body tone and fat loss, increased strength and increased muscle endurance (as well as) improvements to balance, coordination and flexibility."

Smith is as passionate about business as he is about fitness. A success story of The Entourage's (young entrepreneurs group) first 'Saleable and Scalable' 12 month program in 2010, his mission is to share the secrets of his success with other aspiring business owners.

He concludes "business is meant to be fun. If you are in business and not having fun, no matter how much money you earn, then you are failing."

For those seeking a business in the fitness industry, KX Pilates currently has franchise opportunities available to become part of its proven success.
