Joe Calafiore departs Chairman’s role at Geelong’s Kardinia Park Stadium Trust
The Kardinia Park Stadium Trust has announced that Joe Calafiore has stepped down from his position as Chair of the Trust, concluding almost seven years serving as both a member and Chair.
Calafiore joined the Trust in 2018 and was later appointed Chair in 2023.
During his tenure, he served as both a member and later Chair of the Trust’s Finance, Audit and Risk Committee and was critical to the embedding of many financial and business procedures into the newly created Trust.
He also oversaw the completion of Stage 5 of the Kardinia Park Stadium Redevelopment, and the stadium increase its community usage, as well as national and international sport and entertainment content played at the stadium.
The Kardinia Park Stadium Trust administers, promotes and manages GMHBA Stadium and attached land including the Barwon Regional Cricket Centre and the Geelong Sports Museum.
