Jennifer Schembri-Portelli to succeed Gordon Mallett as AUSTSWIM Chief Executive
The Board of AUSTSWIM has announced that Jennifer Schembri-Portelli will take on the role of Chief Executive when current postholder Gordon Mallett retires at the end of 2015.
With the AUSTSWIM Board have implemented a succession plan transitioning to a new Chief Executive with ongoing support and advice from Mallett, Board Chairman John Rigby stated "Gordon has guided AUSTSWIM through the establishment and implementation of four successful strategic plans with unity being the first phase followed by development and re-development of world-class resources and courses.
"AUSTSWIM is an organisation of continual improvement, efficiency and effectiveness thanks to Gordon’s leadership.”
Schembri-Portelli (pictured below), often known as 'JSP', is currently part of AUSTSWIM's senior management team, in the role of General Manager - Development and Communications, and has made significant impact on AUSTSWIM’s change management program, products, services, administration and customer service.
Mallett will hand over the reigns to Schembri-Portelli in October but will continue at AUSTSWIM full-time until years end, providing support.
