International Music Summit Dubai looks to welcomes artists, investors and speakers

The United Arab Emirates is looking to enhance its music and entertainment credential with the upcoming hosting of the International Music Summit Dubai.

Making its debut in the Middle East, the new event – being staged on 14th and 15th November at the W Dubai - Mina Seyahi in Dubai Marina – will be based on four pillars: music, culture, finance and technology, drawing together artists, leaders and industry figures from across these sectors.

Founded as the International Music Summit Ibiza in 2007 by a team including UK-based music entrepreneur, Pete Tong, the event aims to create positive change from the boardroom the dancefloor.

Bringing the same ethos to the UAE, the International Music Summit Dubai will cover topics including Culture Tourism: Dubai and Ibiza Duality; Get Played Get Paid, Royalties in the Middle East; Market Focus: Egypt; and MENA Women in Music while also offering opportunities to network and meet investors in the region.

The speakers include Cosmicat from Saudi Arabia, Deep Dish from Iran and the United States, Wassim Bou Malham from Lebanon and Pete Tong.

Wassim Bou Malham is not only one of the owners behind the much-loved Soul Kitchen in Dubai, but he will also be on an upcoming episode of FACT’s Tableside Talks.

Well known faces set to feature at International Music Summit Dubai include MDLBeast’s Senior Project Manager, Bader Assery; Groove on the Grass founder, Deian Markov; and Dubai-based radio presenter, Theo Mark. Plus, Egypt’s Abdel Rahman Gawdat, India’s Aloki Batra, Netherlands’ Amir Ahmad, Saudi Arabia’s Bader Assery; and UK’s Declan McGlynn.
