Dubai Events Security Committee announces comprehensive plan for New Year’s Eve
Along with the spectacle of 38,000 tonnes of fireworks, Dubai’s Events Security Committee has revealed its grand plans for New Year’s Eve 2023.
Dubai Municipality plans for the event encompass health and safety, food safety, public parks supervision, and beach and water channel management.
Firework displays will take place in 32 locations across Dubai, with notable sites including Burj Khalifa, The Beach, Bluewaters (JBR), Palm Jumeirah and Kite Beach.
A total of 11,972 personnel and 1,525 patrols and civil defence and ambulance vehicles will be deployed across the emirate.
40 hours of Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram operations. The Roads and Transport Authority has changed up the timings of the Dubai Metro and the Dubai Tram (which are both running for 40 hours straight). Some roads will also be closed on the day.
Dubai Civil Defence will deploy over 947 firefighters across celebration sites and more than 106 modern multi-purpose vehicles and logistical support teams
A total of 178 ambulances, four boats, 556 paramedics, and 35 supervisors will be on standby for 46 events across Dubai
