Inaugural Fitness Industry Technology Summit to explain how data drives decision making
Set to feature 21 digital experts, including seven from outside the fitness industry who use technology to analyse consumer behaviour and sharpen their marketing messages, the inaugural Fitness Industry Technology Summit (FITS) is being held in Sydney on 25th and 26th July.
Modelled on the success of overseas ‘tech’ summits, FITS will deliver the latest data and marketing content to inform decision makers in fitness and related sectors.
Believing that rather than floundering on the bleeding edge of commercial survival, the FITS event will ensure attendees are on the leading edge of technology and its inherent capabilities, Fitness Australia Chief Executive Barrie Elvish explains “we live in a digital world that allows us to make data-driven decisions, with a myriad of communication tools, which is why it’s vital that fitness operators identify and understand the best way to get cut through.
“Technology and innovation is rampant across the fitness industry which is why we need to get very comfortable with and confident in how we use it to our advantage.”
With fitness businesses able to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and profitability through technology, FITS will provide first-hand examples of how to save time, energy and resources and enhance productivity through technology from industry experts including Bryan O’Rourke, Sam Mutimer and Alan Leach who will present via video on technology, social media influencers and digital marketing tactics.
Two fitness businesses will also be showcased on how they use technology: Troy Morgan, Director of Willows Health & Fitness in Toowoomba and Adam Skinner, Chief Data & Technology Officer at the Fitness & Lifestyle Group.
