ICE appoints new Executive Director
The Western Sydney Information and Cultural Exchange (ICE) project has appointed a new Executive Director, John Kirkman.
Kirkham arrives at ICE from his most recent role as Chief Executive of Penrith Performing & Visual Arts which operates the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Penrith Regional Gallery & The Lewers Bequest, Q Theatre Company and the Penrith Conservatorium of Music.
Kirkham, who hails from Western Sydney, is acknowledged as having made a fantastic commitment to the development of regionally based artists having worked as a curator, producer and project manager across a wide range of artforms for a number of organisations including The Flying Fruit Circus, The Australian Museum and Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre.
Kirkham replaces outgoing Executive Director, Lisa Torrance. For over two years, Lisa Torrance has been an inspirational leader of the dynamic ICE team consolidating the strengths of ICE that were developed over many years and building new exciting relationships that have boosted the organisation and brought us to a new level. We thank her for her tireless commitment, superior networking and tremendous support and guidance.
For over 25 years, ICE has worked at the intersection of arts, technology and community in Greater Western Sydney.
