HealthyPeople offers solutions to staff recruitment challenges
Amid increasing demand for high quality staff in Australia’s fast growing fitness industry, recruitment specialist HealthyPeople has launched a new business service for clubs and centres.
Connecting employers with local professionals, the HealthyPeople Business Membership differs from social media or other platforms, in connected members with locals candidates.
As HealthyPeople Managing Director Dennis Hosking, explains "HealthyPeople is a community that exists solely to help connect fitness professionals with fitness employment.
“We have been doing this for more than 12 years and we're continuing to fine tune the service to make it as user-friendly and successful as possible, for both sides of the equation."
The ability to connect with local professionals was designed with restrictive budgets in mind, with Hosking advising "membership is as little as $99/month. When compared to the cost of not having a trainer or salesperson for a single week, one could easily justify membership for the year.”
Hosking sees that the search for fitness staff is becoming all the more challenging, advising “job advertising will always be a mainstay for attracting talent but with the significant increase in the number of advertised roles it's imperative for employers to look at combining job advertising with more proactive recruitment strategies.”
He cites a recent testimonial from a professional as an example of how job advertising alone has its shortcomings. This professional had been applying for roles but ultimately took a job from an employer that approached them directly:
"I gained employment immediately for a job I didn’t even apply for! (The employer) explained how she saw my profile (on HealthyPeople) and downloaded my CV. She explained the available position and expressed an enthusiasm to have me on the team. We connected straight away over a long in-depth conversation on the phone. I took the position and am very happy so far."
Hoskings adds “what we've come to realise is that there is still a number of fitness employers, including those that use HealthyPeople for job advertising, that don't realise we have close to 90,000 fitness professionals in our system from all over Australia, all sorted by location and job type, that are available for employers to connect with directly."
The new HealthyPeople Business Membership will be promoted to fitness employers around Australia in the coming weeks.
