Improved recruitment tool for Australian fitness employers
Having provided an industry specific recruitment service for Australian fitness employers for more then 10 years, major upgrades to the HealthyPeople website means it is now easier to use.
With an Australiawide register of more than 72,000 professionals and a client base of more than 1,000 fitness employers, HealthyPeople not only offers job advertising but it also provides a business membership for fitness employers that gives them the ability to connect with local candidates at any time without the cost of placement fees.
The recent changes have all been about improving the user experience: with key services streamlined, non essential elements removed and the site now being now adaptive so that it works across all mobile devices.
Commenting on the changes, HealthyPeople owner and Managing Director Dennis Hosking explains “we cut out a lot of unnecessary functionality, aiming for a service that was as pure in purpose as possible helping put good people in the right positions.
“In particular, we've focused on improving the ability for employers to connect with great local candidates.
“There will always be a need for job advertising but the way we network is changing.
“We're all becoming increasingly familiar with the ability to reach out to who we want, when we want. HealthyPeople is perfectly positioned for this new familiarity and I'm keen to make the most of it".
The new HealthyPeople site presents all employers with access to a list of candidates within a 15 kilometre radius of their facility. Candidates being actively promoted to employers are listed at the top followed by all other candidates, sorted in order of when last active on the site (a good indicator of interest in a new role).
Helping professionals better engage with the culture of a facility was anther focus of the recent changes.
Hosking adds “many roles in our industry are similar in nature, but the culture and focus of the businesses are not. Video, images or even audio uploads can help to reach out to the candidate that best fits the role.”
Hosking stresses that high production values are not required, just a bit of enthusiasm, concluding “candidates don't expect an Oscar winning performance, they're just keen to learn more about the facility, the values, training philosophies, the people they'll be working with and the like."
