Gumbuya World prepares for record-breaking crowds

Gumbuya World is set to welcome record-breaking crowds this summer following the Victorian attraction’s multi-million dollar waterpark expansion.

Gumbuya World Chief Executive Ron Weinzierl said he is looking forward to a huge summer season, with the recent redevelopment of Oasis Springs expected to attract new visitors to the region, commenting "now kids can cool off in Victoria’s most impressive family wave pool, thrill-seekers can test drive six new high-speed water slides and parents can kick back in a private luxury cabana - all in one place.”

The $10 million expansion of Oasis Springs has seen the attraction almost double in size, and is part of a major redevelopment for Gumbuya World set to continue for the next three years. By 2022, it is anticipated that Gumbuya World will attract a million visitors each year both nationally and internationally.

The water world’s impressive heated family wave pool, The Break, holds two million litres of water and is becoming known as the ‘beach in the South East’, giving families across Victoria endless hours of water fun this summer. The pool also includes a standalone children’s area, ensuring people of all ages can join in and that there is something for everyone.

Rides on offer at Gumbuya World include the Tiger Snake Tango, a twisty-twirly slide that sends swimmers zooming through the dark; and the Red Belly Racer, with four lanes of high-speed racing fun for family and friends to race against each other.

As well as The Break, the Red Belly Racer and the Tiger Snake Tango, Oasis Springs includes the exciting Typhoon Island, more water slides, heated rock pools, a 300 metre Lazy River, and Surf’s Up.

Gumbuya’s other attractions include Oz Adventure, Outback Explorers and Wildlife Trail, offering visitors a mix of rides and wildlife. There is also the daily Gumbo Wildlife Show.

Gumbuya World is located at 2705 Princes Highway, Tynong, Victoria 3813.
