Gumbuya World revives Old Wagon Ride attraction

Victorian theme park, Gumbuya World, has today officially re-launched the Old Wagon Ride, renaming the attraction the Gumbuya Nature Trail.

The re-launch of the much-loved Old Wagon Ride from the original Gumbuya Park will allow families to enjoy the famous ride during these school holidays.

Gumbuya Nature Trail will take visitors through the back of the park, where families will be able to experience nostalgia, with some of the old Gumbuya Park attractions highlighted during the 15-minute ride.

Gumbuya World Business Director, Ron Weinzierl commented "the Old Wagon Ride was an iconic feature and a tourist favourite of the old Gumbuya Park. Many Victorians, including myself, have had fond memories of the ride so we wanted to bring it back as the Gumbuya Nature Trail for families and future generations to enjoy."

The revived ride follows a virtually identical route to that which it followed in the 1980s, The old trip would start close to the rides, before heading out to the backbush paddocks and weaving its way between the dams and grasslands.

Visitors will hopefully see some kangaroos, lizards, birds and possibly catch a glimpse of an
echidna, turtle or a possum or two. Visitors will also go past the old Gumbuya Park ride areas such as the toboggans and paddle boats.

Located 50 minutes south east of Melbourne, Gumbuya World offers a family adventure with four worlds to explore; Oasis Springs, Oz Adventure, Outback Explorers and Wildlife Trail.
