Four new directors at VicSport

Vicsport, the independent member-based organisation representing Victoria's sport and active recreation sector, has appointed four new Directors.

The four new Directors, appointed after Vicsport's 30th Annual General Meeting on 20th November, are: Stephanie Beltrame, currently the General Manager of Media Rights with Cricket Australia; Hockey Victoria's Chief Executive Ben Hartung; Swimming Victoria Chief Executive Warwick Waters; and LaTrobe University Sports Management lecturer Emma Sherry.

Each new Director brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from various parts of the sports industry and all are passionate about advancing Victorian Sport. The new Directors join Ron Bongetti, Nick Mooney, Anne King, Stuart Craig and appointed Director Margot Foster on the Vicsport Board.

Vicsport also thanked Martin Doulton, who recently stepped down from the Board and also other outgoing Directors Ian Buckingham, Cheryl McKinna and Naomi Paton. Each are acknowledged for their enormous contributors to Vicsport and their efforts are valued highly.

Vicsport also particularly acknowledged the contribution of Ian Buckingham who has served on the Vicsport Board for the past nine years including the past four as Chairman.

A Vicsport statement explained "during his time on the Board, Vicsport has grown significantly as an organisation and Ian has led Vicsport through a significant period of change."
