Fitness Education Online founder wins at 2020 Australian Fitness Awards

The fifth 2020 virtual Australian Fitness Awards presentation has seen Jono Petrohilos, founder of Fitness Education Online, announced as the national winner of the Educator of the Year award.

With more than seven years’ experience as a fitness education provider, Petrohilos (pictured) is committed to upholding the highest professional development standards, in order to further educate the fitness industry as a whole via his online education platform, Fitness Education Online.

In the last two years alone, Petrohilos’ commitment to upskilling and professional development has seen him attend seven fitness conferences, three personal development conventions, two public speaking/communication skills workshops, six social media/marketing conventions, complete two CEC courses and hire two business coaches.

He has been recognised for his outstanding commitment and contribution to the fitness industry, which is further highlighted through his forward thinking and creative delivery in making his courses more entertaining for his students to aid the learning process.

In an effort to create a fun atmosphere to encourage students to stay engaged in both online and offline learning modules, Petrohilos hired Las Vegas comedian Matt Kazam as the Fitness Education Online ‘humour coach’.

With the vision for Fitness Education Online to be the global ‘go-to’ for all fitness upskilling and training needs, Petrohilos views the fitness industry holistically to ensure any trainer from around the world can access top quality courses from a vast array of methods and techniques.

The Australian Fitness Award are the only national awards program dedicated to the fitness industry and are this year being presented in 11 categories for individuals, businesses and community groups.

The next virtual award ceremony will take place on Tuesday 19th May and will announce this year’s Community Activation Award, sponsored by Guild Super.
