Federal Department of Industry video profiles the fitness industry and Fitness Australia

The Federal Government's Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources has released a short video profiling the work of the fitness industry and Fitness Australia.

Announcing the launch said a Department spokesperson advised "the reason why we (the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources) have developed these videos is to share stories of how Australian businesses are responding to COVID-19."

Fitness Australia Chief Executive, Barrie Elvish commented "we know that exercise plays an important role in supporting our immune system, mental health and overall wellbeing. In recognising this and because our gyms are closed we've launched the Keep on Moving campaign.

"We are really keen as an exercise industry to help Australia get moving and keep moving as we enter a post COVID-19 world.

"Exercise is a critical part of the wider Australian community including business."
