Fitness Australia to launch new iLearn online education platform

Peak fitness industry body Fitness Australia is set launch iLearn – an all new platform for online education for exercise professionals and fitness business managers.

In launching iLearn, Fitness Australia aims to enhance the industry’s capacity to deliver quality services through advice from industry experts, practical case studies, tools and resources designed to empower industry professionals to meet national standards and guidelines.

The new initiative will be the first time that Fitness Australia will have offered this level of online resources.

Introducing the initiative in the peak body’s Fitness ejournal, Fitness Australia Learing and Development Manager Amanda Mehegan explains “rather than simply repurposing existing content, iLearn will bring these standards to life, making them accessible and easier for the industry to understand.

Topics to be covered include tips for understanding client referral and communicating with medical and health professionals, priorities for risk management and legal obligations and evidence to design programs or run a business.

Each topic will have an assessment associated with it, giving professionals the opportunity to earn CEC points.

Industry professionals are invited to participate in order to:

• Understand and meet national industry standards
• Learn best practice strategies to achieve high quality services
• Minimise professional and business risk
• Develop the skills to grow your community, health and government networks
• Achieve industry recognition for your commitment to best practice
• Accessible online industry education - any time, any location.
