Fitness and Lifestyle Group marks 50th Reform Pilates studio milestone

Fitness and Lifestyle Group (FLG) has achieved a significant milestone with the opening of its 50th Reform Pilates studio across Goodlife Health Clubs and Fitness First Australia.

A signature boutique concept with dedicated studios in Goodlife Health Clubs and Fitness First Australia clubs, Reform Pilates is a highly curated, premium group reformer programme designed and produced entirely in-house at FLG.

Launched with two studios in 2020 to now reach 50 purpose-built spaces across the FLG Australia estate – 32 in Goodlife clubs and 18 in Fitness First – Reform Pilates is fast becoming a key growth engine for FLG.

Andy Chamoun, Executive General Manager, FLG Australia notes “our 2020 Reform Pilates concept, developed through rigorous NPD testing, has evolved from trial to strategic focus for FLG.”

To date, more than 3.6 million Australians have taken part in over 277,000 Reform Pilates classes, with more than 1,400 exercises filmed and 258 unique Reform Pilates workouts produced, all supported by 650+ expert instructors.

Chamoun added “the popularity of Reform Pilates reflects a wider appetite for premium, instructor-led wellness experiences that balance performance, value and accessibility.

“As member demand continues to climb, FLG is proud to lead the way in making high-quality reformer Pilates more accessible than ever, at scale and with a consistency that sets the standard. Our continued expansion of Reform Pilates allows us to deliver high-end fitness experiences while preserving our value proposition.”

Greg Oliver, Chief Executive of Fitness and Lifestyle Group, added “Reform Pilates is a standout example of how FLG continues to innovate and lead within the fitness industry.

“By executing at scale and unlocking value pricing, this exceptional product democratises premium fitness and wellness. Performance-led and beautifully delivered, our members love it and our teams are proud to deliver it. This milestone reflects the passion and relentless focus of our people.”

Reform Pilates is available exclusively to Platinum Plus members at Fitness First Australia and Goodlife Health Clubs Australia. While boutique studios often charge up to $30 per class, Platinum Plus members enjoy unlimited Reform Pilates sessions as part of their gym membership. This is complemented by access to premium gym facilities, steam rooms, saunas, and a national network of clubs - delivering exceptional value in one all-inclusive membership.
