Festival to mark 20 years of blues in Thredbo

Thredbo is gearing up to host another huge weekend of music in the mountains with the Thredbo Blues Festival 2014 set to take place on from 17th to 19th January next year.

Ian Foster, General Manager of The Lantern Property Group which operates Lantern Apartments, Lhotsky Apartments and Elevation Apartments explains "this year's festival is extra special as it's the 20th anniversary of this Thredbo institution.

"With Thredbo's warm January days, and cool crisp evenings, the village really comes alive to host some of Australia's best blues musicians over the three days. And now in its 20th year, 2014 will see a really cracking line up of fabulous artists."

For the first time ever, Thredbo Blues Festival will host ARIA Award winning artist Wendy Matthews who has had a string of hit records. Also on the program for 2014 is another Aria winner, Rick Price, who's country blues feel will be right at home in the Thredbo mountains. Long time Thredbo Blues Festival favourites will also make an appearance for this huge weekend of music in the mountains.
