Falls Creek partners with Specialized to support rider safety
Becoming as well known for its mountain biking in summer as for its winter snow sport, Falls Creek has introduced a new Bike Patrol service to respond to incidents, mountain wide, every weekend and shuttle day.
Created to facilitate a dynamic response to any incident, Falls Creek has partnered with Specialized Bikes and has introduced two state of the art pedal assist bikes, the Turbo Levo, for this season’s Bike Patrol.
Commenting on the Victorian first, Bike Patrol Manager Matt O’Keefe advised “on behalf of the Falls Creek Bike Patrol and the Bike Park users, I’d like to thank Specialized for providing us with these bikes to assist in rapidly delivering our first aid service to resort users over summer.”
In recent research, Falls Creek was voted the most appealing element of the current High Country mountain bike offer.
With over 45 kilometres of single track purpose built trails constructed over the last four years by internationally recognised innovative trail company, World Trail, Falls Creek has something for every rider, from beginner, intermediate to advanced.
Specialized Communications Manager, Matilda Raynolds added “we’re are thrilled to be supporting Falls Creek Resort Management with our Turbo Levo e-Mountain Bikes, which will allow for a quicker response and enable greater ease of access to any critical issues on the trails, overall increasing the safety of the riders should any incidents occur..”
The mountain bike season kicked off with Ignition, a two day social riding celebration, on Saturday, 18th and Sunday 19th November 2017 with well over 500 riders participating.
