Exercise New Zealand joins the ActiveXchange data network
Data intelligence provider ActiveXchange has announced a strategic partnership with peak body ExerciseNZ (the Exercise Association of New Zealand).
As part of this strategic partnership, ActiveXchange has released their industry-first open data repository platform, the National Infrastructure Database (NID), which also includes Census Community Profile information, to all ExerciseNZ members.
A first of its kind in New Zealand, ActiveXchange’s NID provides fitness and leisure facilities, managers and trainers with access to an industry view of the communities that are serviced by facilities via an interactive mapping tool.
In addition, the layers of community profile data provide a more comprehensive visualisation of your community so you can develop programs and services to meet their needs. The platform will revolutionise the way data insights are created, analysed and actioned across the entire sector, saving businesses time and money, and providing them the opportunity to make data-driven decisions that positively impact the health and well-being of communities across New Zealand.
Announcing the new partnership, ActiveXchange Head of Customer Success and Partnerships, Ricki Jones stated “I am really excited to be working with Exercise New Zealand.
“As someone that has been in the industry for many years I understand the value Exercise New Zealand provides, and more specifically the leadership they showed over the pandemic.
“There has really been a shift in recent years for the community to live more healthy and active lifestyles and as such Richard and the team are key to helping the sector address the challenges and opportunities this brings. We are very much looking forward to working closely with Exercise New Zealand to add value to the sector in order to help our communities access activities to help them become more physically active”.
The partnership with ActiveXchange will further strengthen ExerciseNZ's ability to provide valuable resources and tools to its members, ensuring they can deliver outstanding fitness & exercise experiences to their local community.
ExerciseNZ Chief Executive, Richard Beddie added “this is a great opportunity for our members to gain better insights on the changing demographics and the changing needs of their customer base and local communities.
“It’s fantastic they can now easily and efficiently access these tools, where previously they would have spent large amounts of time and money trying to understand how best to serve their community.”
