EEAA announces resignation of Chief Executive Claudia Sagripanti
The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has advised that their Chief Executive Claudia Sagripanti has resigned from her role effective 3rd December 2021.
Sagripanti joined the EEAA only weeks prior to COVID-19 commencing, and after two very challenging years navigating the Association through that unchartered path, has decided to take some time off before exploring new opportunities.
On behalf of members, Board of Directors, sub-committees and partners, EEAA President Nicole Walker thanked Sagripanti for her tireless work for the EEAA and industry in her role as Chief Executive adding “we thank her for all the work she has done, and we wish her every success for the next step in her career.”
As a result of Sagripanti’s departure, the Board have agreed that to take this opportunity to review the member priorities, reset and create a new staffing structure that best suit the needs of industry and members.
EEAA have advised that a familiar face to many in the Association, Past President Domenic Genua, will come into this interim management role to maintain the momentum of the Association’s work while future needs are reviewed and recruit a new team accordingly.
Genua has 22 years of Association experience and was also a Director of the EEAA for 13 years, that included a term as President from 2013 - 2016.
